With Loyola Football's switch back to Nike from Jordan, I was asked to redesign the uniforms. With tradition being the primary element of the uniform, subtle details give the uniform deeper meaning. The new Loyola Block font is added to the wordmarks and numbers along with wording on the helmet bumpers. The pant's stripes are removed and replaced with wordmarks. A clear screen printed brick pattern is seen on the shoulders of the white and navy uniforms while a navy pattern is on the gray uniform. This adds a new flair that the younger generations will appreciate without upsetting the traditional alumni. The addition of the grey uniform is a first for Loyola. It will honor the "Wolfpack Defense," a nickname given to Loyola's relentless defense under Coach Steve Grady. The biggest change for the Cubs is an alternate helmet. The anodized white helmet will feature an oversized navy chrome paw and a whiteout hardware package. The helmet will be worn in the winter of 2021 while the uniforms will roll out in the fall of 2021.
Alternate concepts are below.
Closer look at the jerseys and sides of the pants.
Below are the current Jordan Uniforms. I was part of the design process in the spring of 2017. The brief was a simple uniform with a traditional look.
